ABOUT ME
I am Lainie Stidham, a young actress with a drive for creating fun, meaningful art that
inspires. Combining theatre and gender studies, I strive to challenge gender stereotypes
in theatre through exploration, research, and performance. I am driven by my love of
theatre, playing characters that speak to my most authentic self and exploring emotions
we don’t always get to express in real life. When a character is completely vulnerable
and lets all their guard down- it is the most challenging and fun part of being an actor. I
will challenge gender norms and creatively tell stories that people feel seen in.
My performances are authentic, and I pull from my deep emotional well-being and
empathetic nature. I am committed to being my most vulnerable self on stage in any
role. I strive to challenge gender stereotypes through research and discussion with
directors and creatives so that theatre becomes a place for any and all people,
regardless of what they look like. Theatre is an art form that invites authenticity and
realness; we should strive to make it less gendered.

In every role, I strive for authenticity and fun. I pull from my deep connections with
people and experiences and apply that to my performance. I want to tell stories that
make you laugh, make you cry, but most of all make you think.
